a)       Dated 2012 February 8 (Received 2012 February 9) Correspondence from Ms. Pat Coderre, Past Chair, Middlesex-London Board of Health to members of Middlesex-London Board of Health thanking Board members for the floral arrangement and crystal apple to recognize her year as Chair of the Board.

b)       Dated 2012 February 12 (Received 2012 February 23) Correspondence from Ms. Pat Madill, Clerk, Regional Municipality of Durham advising that Durham Regional Council adopted the following recommendations from the Region’s Health and Social Services Committee based on a resolution from the Middlesex-London Health Unit:

a.       That the following resolution of The Middlesex-London Health Unit dated November 17, 2011, with respected to the Nutritious Food Basket Costing Survey Results for 2011 and the Opportunities for Action be endorsed:

i.      That the Board of Health petition the Premier of Ontario, the Right Honourable Dalton McGuinty, to develop a comprehensive Ontario Food and Nutrition Strategy ; and further

ii.      That Report No. 104-11 re Nutritious Food Basket Costing Survey Results for 2011 and the Opportunities for Action be forwarded to appropriate community agencies; and

b.      That the Premier of Ontario, Ministers of Children and Youth Services, Community and Social Services, Education, Finance, Health and Long-Term Care, Durham’s MPPs, Chief Medical Officer of Health, and all Ontario boards of health be so advised.
