Celebrate Canada Day Safely

This Canada Day, if you’re spending quality time together, do it in the great outdoors! Even though you might be fully vaccinated, it’s not yet time for close contact with those outside of your household. Please limit indoor gatherings and continue to follow public health guidance.

Starting Wednesday, June 30
If you’re gathering indoors or outdoors with anyone outside of your immediate household, please keep your distance and wear a mask.

  • Outdoor social gatherings and organized public events (up to 25 people)
  • Indoor gatherings (up to 5 people)

SAFER OPTIONS

Doing activities with members of your household only.

Ideas:

Campfires or BBQs with your household
Walking, biking, hiking, gardening
Splash pads, playgrounds, or outdoor pools (within capacity limits)
Participating in virtual celebrations

USE CAUTION

Gathering outdoors with up to 25 people.

Tips:

Stay close to home
Avoid crowded spaces
Maintain two metres from others
Wear a mask
Bring your own food/drink or have one person make and serve all the food

UNSAFE

Gathering indoors with anyone who isn’t part of your household.

Avoid:

Gathering with more than 5 people indoors
Being closer than two metres from others
Sharing food or drink
