Public Health Professionals
Guides, tools, and resources have been developed to support Public Health Professionals at the Middlesex-London Health Unit (MLHU) and Public Health Professionals in other jurisdictions.
Public Health Library
The Library is a special library supporting the information needs of public health professionals. The Library is also a member of the Shared Library Services Partnership established by Public Health Ontario. Through this partnership, all Ontario health units have access to information resources that support evidence-informed public health.
Planning and Evaluation Framework
Program Management is the ongoing design, development, implementation, monitoring, continuous improvement and evaluation, of programs and interventions that are delivered by MLHU. It describes the program’s long-term strategy and the planning to achieve outcomes and look for constant improvements to day-to-day operations.
The Framework is the model for program planning and evaluation at MLHU.
Program Managers are responsible for determining the extent to which the Framework is used in programs based on:
- Urgency and/or the extent of the public health need or program issue;
- Perspectives of key stakeholders;
- Availability of human and financial resources;
- Capacity available to undertake a comprehensive program planning and evaluation.
