The Middlesex-London Health Unit website (www.healthunit.com) provides up-to-date and accurate information on a variety of topics, programs, services and research.

This information is provided by health professionals, including registered nurses, registered dietitians, registered dental hygienists, health promoters, public health inspectors, epidemiologists, doctors, community partners as well as Canadian and international health organizations, and is intended for the use of Middlesex-London residents.

Our mission to promote and protect the health of our community

The information that we offer on www.healthunit.com is meant to complement, not replace, the relationship between a patient and his or her health care provider. For specific medical advice, diagnosis and treatment, please talk to your doctor.

Information found on www.healthunit.com is for general informational purposes and is subject to change. Although our goal is to provide current and accurate information, the Middlesex-London Health Unit is not responsible for any damages resulting from incorrect or out-of-date information.

Third Party Applications

Some features of www.healthunit.com may use third party applications, including, but not limited to: Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Disqus. Third party applications allow users to connect and interact with the Middlesex-London Health Unit online.

We monitor user posts, in-box messages and comments at least once per day, Monday to Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Responses to user posts, in-box messages and comments are made as promptly as possible, typically within the week they are posted or received.

We reserve the right to deny inappropriate or offensive comments and remove any post that is considered offensive and denigrating such as inappropriate photos, lewd, vulgar or profane comments, ethnic, racial or religious slurs, cyber bullying, abuse, depictions of violence and obscenity.

Please note: The Middlesex-London Health Unit does not collect, use, or disclose personal health information or provide health consultations through third party applications such as Twitter, Facebook and YouTube. If an assessment of the client’s situation or personal health information is required, the client will be encouraged to contact the Middlesex-London Health Unit in-person, by phone, or email.
