GO-VAXX Bus Mobile Vaccine Clinic to Make Return Visit to East London Saturday

Posted by on

Ontario’s GO-VAXX Bus will make a return visit to East Lions Community Centre in London’s Argyle neighbourhood this coming Saturday, February 26th. The Province’s fleet of five retrofitted GO Transit buses has travelled to communities across Ontario, providing COVID-19 vaccine in as convenient a way as possible. Saturday’s visit will be the GO-VAXX bus’s fifth visit to London and the second to the East Lions Community Centre.

The mobile bus clinic will provide first doses of COVID-19 vaccine to anyone five years of age and older, as well as second and booster doses to those who are eligible, including those between the ages of 12 and 17, provided six months have passed since their second dose.

While appointments have previously been required to attend one of the GO-VAXX Bus vaccination clinics, those who would like to receive the vaccine are now being welcomed on a walk-in basis as well. Anyone who would prefer to book an appointment in advance may do so by visiting covid19.ontariohealth.ca/ and following the instructions found under the webpage’s Book your vaccine appointment section. To book appointments by phone, call 1-833-943-3900; remember to mention that the appointment is for a GO-VAXX Bus COVID-19 vaccination clinic.

Please note that appointments for the GO-VAXX bus vaccination clinic on Saturday, February 26th will be available for booking as of 8:00 a.m. on Friday, February 25th. Appointments must be booked on the Provincial booking website and not through the regular Middlesex-London booking site.

Ontario’s Ministry of Health, in partnership with Metrolinx, has converted five GO Transit buses into mobile vaccination clinics, creating a convenient option for people to receive their COVID-19 vaccine. The buses are a platform for fully operational mobile COVID-19 vaccine clinics, which includes all the necessary supplies and staff to administer the vaccine safely. All COVID-19 public health safety precautions are followed on board the bus, including screening for symptoms before entering, wearing a mask or face covering when inside, and post-vaccination monitoring.
