Break from Deep Freeze Prompts Health Unit to Terminate Cold Weather Alert

London, ON – The Cold Weather Alert issued by the Medical Officer of Health on Monday, January 20th and extended on Friday, January 24th has now been terminated. Current outdoor temperatures and those forecast by Environment Canada for the next few days are well above the -15 degrees C threshold used by the Health Unit to issue a Cold Weather Alert.

The Middlesex-London Health Unit thanks all members of the Extreme Temperature Network and those agencies and facilities who observed the Cold Weather Alert for their diligence in providing service during this time.
