The Middlesex-London Health Unit will be moving its COVID-19 Mass Vaccination Clinic at the Western Fair District Agriplex by the end of September. The COVID-19 vaccine has been offered at the Agriplex since December 23rd, 2020, when the first dose was administered there. More than 1.2 million doses of vaccine have been administered at sites across London and Middlesex County over the last 21 months.
The last day of clinic operations at the Agriplex will be Thursday, September 29th, before the Health Unit reopens the clinic in its new location on Monday, October 3rd, in the Western Fair District’s main building on the north side of Florence Street. The clinic will be relocated to the space which formerly held the Western Fair Raceway’s Simulcast area and will be accessible through the main building, which also houses Gateway Casinos London.
The Health Unit is making the announcement of the clinic move today, in order to allow people to book appointments at the new clinic location, where they can either complete their primary COVID-19 vaccine series (first and second doses) or receive a booster dose. To book an appointment to receive the COVID-19 vaccine after September 29th at the new Western Fair Vaccination Clinic, scroll to the bottom of the Choose a vaccination clinic drop-down menu online at www.covidvaccinelm.ca and select Western Fair Vaccination Clinic. Appointments can also be booked by calling 226-289-3560.
The bivalent vaccine will continue to be available at the Agriplex Mass Vaccination Clinic until September 29th. The bivalent vaccine is available at all MLHU clinic sites including the Health Unit’s Mass Vaccination Clinic at the Caradoc Community Centre in Mount Brydges and its Community COVID-19 Vaccination Clinics.
