Following the Government of Ontario’s announcement Friday afternoon, the Middlesex-London Health Unit will expand COVID-19 vaccination eligibility to youth 12 years of age and older starting Sunday, May 23rd at 8:00 a.m..
In order to be eligible, individuals must be 12 years of age or older on the day of their vaccination. For clarity, individuals cannot receive their vaccine if they are 11 years old at the time of their appointment but turning 12 later this year. Furthermore, all youth aged 12 to 17 will receive the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine, as it is the only vaccine authorized for this age group in Canada, and will be directed to book their appointment at either the North London Optimist Community Centre or the soon-to-be-opened Earl Nichols Arena clinic.
In an effort to make getting vaccinated easier for families, the booking process will also include tips for how to book appointments together as a family.
How to book an appointment:
- Book online at www.covidvaccinelm.ca (new appointments open daily at 8:00 a.m.)
- Call 226-289-3560 (8:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., Monday to Sunday)
