Learning Objectives
- Participants will become familiar with the latest research findings regarding the long-term and short-term effects of parental opiate use on children
- Participants will become familiar with substance use screening strategies that can be used universally for people during the preconception, prenatal and early years
- Participants will become familiar with harm reduction strategies that can be used when dealing with opiate users during the preconception, prenatal and early years periods
- Participants will become familiar with local community services available to support people using opiates during the preconception, prenatal and early years periods
