Did you know? May is Speech and Hearing awareness month. It’s important to know if your baby can hear, and if your child is talking like other children the same age.
Can your baby hear?
Undetected hearing loss can cause delays in your baby’s speech and language development. The Infant Hearing Program offers hearing screening to all newborn children either in the hospital or in the community.
Is your child talking like other children of the same age?
The focus of tykeTALK is prevention and early identification of speech, language and swallowing problems. tykeTALK offers programs for children from birth to school-age with speech and/or language difficulties. All services are offered at no charge to families. Find out how to get help.
