Statement from Dr. Chris Mackie regarding COVID-19 outbreaks involving Western University students

"We are seeing widespread cases of COVID-19 among Western students, and although transmission on campus is limited at this time, we continue to work closely with Western administration and the City to ensure that further spread among the student population is limited.
Within the cases that have been reported, we have now identified two outbreaks associated with Western students and anticipate more cases associated with these outbreaks in the coming days. We will continue to work diligently with Western to ensure that students are supported.
Western is London, and London is Western. These students are a part of our community, and we will care for them the way we have cared for one another and everyone who has been affected by this pandemic."
