Tanning Bed Operators

Skin Cancer Prevention Act (Tanning Beds), 2013

The Act regulates the selling and marketing of tanning services and ultraviolet light treatments for tanning. It is illegal to sell, offer, advertise, or market tanning services to youth under age 18. The Act came into effect on May 1, 2014.

Businesses or individuals within the City of London and the County of Middlesex who sell or offer tanning bed services or treatments are required by law to notify the Middlesex-London Health Unit to register as a tanning bed operator. Additionally, a business license is required if your Tanning Bed business is located within the City of London.
